My rat Leverne has been bleeding off and on for over 5 months. About a week ago she would not stop bleeding. I took her to my vet and she said that she recommended her getting fixed. She told her receptionist to call us with the name of the doctors she recommended after she called and talked to him. Well she did not call. We found another vet but once they got her records said she was not well so they would not do it. I was a mess at this point. My rats and my dog are my babies. I told my girlfriend call our vet again and ask for pain meds as I was at work. She to my surprise did not call the vet. I came home crying thinking all I could do is give her pain meds to keep her confertable tell the good lord took her home. I came home to my girlfriend looking in the phone book to see who she could call. She happen to remember when our bird flew into the window and had a concusion that the vet we took her to also did exotics. She called them and they said they were waiting for Leverne. We knew at that point we had found the right vet. This vet is as awesome as my vet. The vet that did the surgery was so conserned that he even made his nurse go to the local petstore to get a doner rat so that Levern could have a blood transfusion. What we found out was that Leverns utrus had canser. My vet said that this is just like that vet to do something like this. I am so glad that god lead us to the right vet.

She is still recovering and looks in pain sometimes but is doing well. Our vet loves her and thinks we have the best animals as we now have 10 cause we could not leave the doner rat there at the vets.
