YAY!!! Ok... well, I am borrowing my best friends 4 story ferrett cage and the rats LOOOOVE it!!! At first it was hard for them to get used to the wire bare beneath their feet. All night Piper was running from the bottom level, to the top level, and then back to the bottom level. Hehe. I might get another rat or two this week!!! Wish me luck trying to convince my mom!

you just have to watch with those types of bar flooring...they can cause sores on their footies, and can be slightly uncomfortable i'm sure walking on it all day. Just think about walking in your barefeet on grating all day long....ouchie! lol
If they look to you like it may be hurting them, i'd reccomend putting some type of cloth over the bars so they have some cusioning..

Yeah I have that carpet cutting stuff on the floors(except the bottom where they go to the bathroom, but that has shavings any ways) and they love it. And they way its placed, they cant chew it. I have recently added new toys replaced for the old ones and have soooo much fun.

or you could put linolium on the wire floor??? that works for my ferret's cage!!
