I have been given contraditory advice from everyone not here obviously) !!! I am getting wonderful ratties very very soon. Are man made fabrics (like socks) okay in the cage? My mice used to love them. So what is safe or not... what do we think? _________________ 'BEWARE the TOAST that has no EARS!' |

Socks are just fine for them. My ratties love my old knee-high socks. (lol) _________________ Hello from the Fuzzbutt Boys: Tank and Nibbler!! |

Maybe I'll suspend a leg warmer from the top of the cage.... I'll check out that site, thanks. _________________ 'BEWARE the TOAST that has no EARS!' |

I have an old tshirt in my ratties' cage right now, they seemed to absolutely hate the shredded paper,so I tried an experiment. They love to crawl around in it,Sweety loves to make little nest piles and wrinkle it up to snooze on. He nibbles it abit,he seems to be happier with it so I left it in there until the new aviary cage comes I bought. I have a 5 foot stack of old junky tees I don't wear but to bed maybe so they can have at them. lol THEN I'm going to litter train with crittercare bedding. Sweety is really good as far as not pooing all over,he will wait to jump back in the cage to drop raisins thankfully for me. He should litter train easily I hope,Pum'kin is new and still a mystery. |
